My name is Bradley Shimel, and I am a reporter/anchor for Big Country Homepage Sports (KTAB/KRBC News) in Abilene, Texas! I am a Spring 2024 graduate from the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications. About Me:
Since I was first handed a football at four years old, sports have been a passion I have always wanted to pursue in my career.
When I graduated high school, I decided to chase down this dream at the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications. I remained involved by serving as an ambassador for the College, an Anchor/Reporter for WUFT News (the local PBS affiliate for North Central Florida), and ESPN Gainesville (the local ESPN affiliate).
After developing as a journalist, I took my talents out West to the Big Country and joined KTAB/KRBC News (Abilene's CBS/NBC affiliates) as a Sports Reporter/Anchor.
Over the past four years, I have gained experience filming with cameras, anchoring, writing, hosting live shots, editing, and working with AP ENPS to produce newscasts.
I am well-equipped when it comes to telling a story and I strive to make a career out of highlighting the relevant stories that make my audiences feel something they can carry with them.
